Instagram Now Lets You Upload Videos From Your Phone's Gallery Video on  Instagram  just got a big upgrade. Instagram  added video functionality  to the popular photo-sharing app a little over a month ago, but with version 4.1, launching Wednesday, the app brings with it several new features, including the ability to import video from your phone's gallery. At launch, Instagram only allowed you to upload video that was recorded within the app. While that worked great when you knew going in you wanted to share a video clip on Instagram, it also meant that you couldn’t share videos you had previously recorded using your phone’s camera. Now you can import videos from your phone’s library into Instagram and share them with friends. Videos can be square-cropped however you’d like, and since your video clip may be a bit too long, you can trim it down to just the specific portion you’d like to share. Also, video on Instagram is also now available to Android users running
